The Museum!

We had a great time exploring with our groups and then being archaeologists. We learned about biomes and climates around the world. Kids got to try on or hold artifacts from all over the world and then using clues figure out which biome the artifact belonged to and put it there. We had a great day!

Daily Five!

Every morning while some kids are working in a reading group the others are involved in literacy activities from writing to listening to a story to reading on their own.

Mad Minutes!

We're getting better at solving subtraction facts to 20. Today we tried a 4 minute "mad minute!"

Persuasive Writing

Dear Farmer Brown,
We will do ANYTHING for a diving board, like:

We read a book called Click Clack Moo about ducks who want a diving board on the farm. We all wrote to the farmer to try and persuade him!

Math Workplaces

Every day in math we do workplaces after our lesson. Workplaces are games and activities that help kids practice the concepts we are learning. These workplaces all involve geometry.  This game is called architecture.
